Biography

As a volunteer at the Pearl Mother and Child Health Foundation, Richard works to improve maternal and newborn health outcomes through community-based initiatives and evidence-based interventions in Uganda. He is a trained midwife with experience in clinical practice, research, and community health programs, with a strong interest in safe motherhood, quality antenatal and postnatal care, and optimal infant feeding practices. He has contributed to projects focused on individualized breastfeeding support aimed at improving exclusive breastfeeding and maternal experiences, and actively participates in research and health initiatives that strengthen Nursing and Midwifery practice. Richard holds a Bachelor of Midwifery Science from Lira University, Uganda.
